FLC Art & Design Building Environmental wayfinding redesign
"Half and Half" conceptual redesign of the signage in the Fort Lewis College Art & Design building done for the course Art 304-1: Tpcs: Information Design at Fort Lewis College.
Below is a conceptual project proposal for a signage redesign intended to increase the ease of navigation for students, visitors, and professors.
My concept takes special care to include elements that help make the signage inclusive to people with visual impairment, like large bold labeling paired with Braille to help people who are visually impaired navigate to the correct classroom. This is something that I feel needs special attention, especially because the current signage is hidden in alcoves on relatively small signs that can't be seen from the hallway.
The concept was realized using 3D renders for stylized visualization and Adobe illustrator for the more technical renderings.
